Range Rover - Land Rover

The Range Rover Evoque will be priced about about $45,000. That would be about $8,500 added big-ticket than a Land Rover LR2 and about $3,500 beneath big-ticket than an LR4. But the Evoque's abounding name is technically the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque and it wears a Land Rover cast on its rear blind - admitting brands like Toyota, Honda and Nissan don't put their badges on their corresponding affluence lines. With this antecedent overlap in price, and Range Rover possibly traveling even lower with a sub-Evoque Mini rival, we asked Land Rover if it was alive to get any added break with its Range Rover brand.

"Dealers will add Range Rover branding to their towers," said Skip Pavlik, Land Rover artefact manager, apropos to the signage alfresco dealerships that will announce three brands now - Jaguar, Land Rover and Range Rover, instead of just Jaguar and Land Rover. Pavlick aswell said that "the affair is in alteration appropriate now."

2010 Releases First New Range Rover Evoque Evokes Innovation

The Paris Motor show of 2010 this end of September is eagerly awaited by SUV enthusiasts as this will be the event that will debut the brand new Evoque.Taking a cue from a concept SUV, the Range Rover Evoque gets center stage attention for the Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover as it introduces an entirely innovative Range Rover model.

Every year, automobile trade and design exhibits never fail to showcase concept cars from the leading and upstart car companies around the globe. It's a great time for car enthusiasts and consumers to start ogling and dropping jaws here and there. It often can take years for a concept car to go into production, some with less than the stellar performance promised during the car shows.

The Range Rover Evoque

After September, the new Range Rover Evoque should start appearing in your local showrooms by next year. It is essentially a Range Rover GT but carries the distinction of being the lightest and the most fuel-efficient Range Rover the company has ever produced. It comes with a lightweight body construction and a new state-of-the-art 2.0-litre turbocharged Si4 engine that delivers 240hp and is imbued with low CO2 systems for maximum efficiency and eco-friendliness.

Many of the LRX concept features now appear on the Evoque. These are mostly styling cues like a rising beltline, a muscled shoulder line taking the entire length of the SUV and sweeping tapered roofline to give the Evoque its distinctive 21st century power and elegance.

The Evoque ride is as smooth as that of any luxury SUV in the market, thanks to its lightweight chassis, electric power-assisted steering for precise and responsive steering even at low speeds, and Adaptive Dynamics aided by MagneRide™ dampers that deliver a comfortable but controlled ride.

RangeRover is known for producing vehicles that look pretty on the street with the ability to get rugged on all terrains. The Evoque offers the unique Terrain Response® system which helps on any surface from snow and gravel to other off-road surfaces.

Evoque customers can choose from among three distinctive design themes. There's the 'Pure' which carry the concept-car exterior with neutral interior colors; the 'Prestige' which is a more luxurious version using entirely leather interiors and the 'Dynamic' which takes a sportier and bolder exterior 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels, unique grille, bumpers and tailpipe.

Production of the Evoque will be done at the Halewood plant in Merseyside, UK. Starting in 2011, some 160 markets worldwide will get the Evoque at about $45,000 price tag.

the 2011 Defender X-Tech Limited Edition

Land Rover have a solid reputation built upon durability, and with their development of easy handling and ride comfort it's not hard to see why this iconic brand has endured even as local agriculture has sadly waned. I felt slightly treacherous in my enjoyment of the journey in the Defender, but there's no reason why a classic design has to mean a sore posterior.

All too soon I found myself heading back towards the dealership, wondering whether the Series IIA would still provide the same fulfillment now that I knew what I had been missing. Whilst I would be more inclined to leave the more intricate servicing of the newer used Land Rover models to the professionals, I'm sure that given time I'll be rooting around under the bonnet for the smaller tasks that can be handled by a competent home mechanic.

I admit that I was fully won over, and signed on the dotted line with only the briefest moment of hesitation as I wondered whether the Series IIA would throw some kind of sulk. For anyone looking for a vehicle that combines off-road capabilities with on-road comfort, a used Land Rover could very well prove to be the ideal choice. If you get a chance to test it out on roads that offer slightly more challenge than the A1, you'll be able to get a feel for whether that particular model will be the one to take you up hill and down dale with the minimum of fuss.

2012 Range Rover from Land Rover comes with minor modifications

2010 Range Rover from Land Rover comes with minor modifications when compared with the previous model and these include a new bumper design and grille, as well as new revamped interior and new head lights.

You'd be forgiving for thinking that the 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is the Frankenstein of Land Rovers. It shares a platform with the Land Rover LR4, and engines with the Range Rover. It slots between the two in price, as well, but some people may mistake it for the more-expensive Range Rover --especially given the Range Rover Sport's Profile and name.

the Land Rover Defender 110

The 62-year old strike-anywhere-carry-anything 4X4 all-terrain sub-urban-but-city-driving vehicle might by now be undergoing all the engineering tweaks in time for its 2014 unveiling under the code-name Project Icon. What a fitting name.

While an average driver keeps the same set of tires for less than 30,000 miles, a British chap named Tim Townsend has managed to complete a whopping 117,000 miles or the equivalent of five trips around the globe, with the same set of rubber on his Land Rover Defender 90!

Still owned by the British Leyland Corporation, the Ninety and one-ten was followed immediately by the longer 127 and the 130 in the same year. They were built on a separate production line. It would take another five years in 1990 for the series to finally assume the Defender name.

That's a good 4 years from now and yet we are getting a lot of speculations about it this early. The Tata-owned Jaguar Land Rover marque of SUVs is gearing up to launch a hybrid SUV positioned as a replacement and successor to the landmark Land Rover Defender for which the word iconic would have invented.
